Salary Range: $95,000 – $140,000 (DOE, senior litigation market range)

Overview

A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to support a high-volume, fast-paced defense practice. The ideal candidate will come from a strong insurance defense or general liability background within a large or mid-size law firm environment.

This role supports complex litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions and requires experience in high-volume defense work and strong familiarity with full-cycle litigation support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of litigation from inception through trial
• Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and subpoenas
• Manage high-volume discovery and document production
• Coordinate depositions, IMEs, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
• Maintain litigation calendars and ensure compliance with court deadlines
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
• Prepare trial binders, exhibits, witness files, and case summaries
• Handle e-filing in state and federal courts (NYSCEF / CM-ECF)

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience (defense-side strongly preferred)
• Background in insurance defense, general liability, personal injury, or labor & employment
• Large or mid-size litigation firm experience preferred
• Strong discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation experience
• Ability to manage high caseload in a fast-paced environment

Ideal Background

• Strong exposure to premises liability, auto/trucking, construction accidents, and insurance defense matters
• Experience supporting complex litigation from intake through trial
