Healthcare & Employment Litigation Attorney
Location: New York City + Additional Regional Office Locations
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $170,000 – $225,000 Base + Bonus Potential
A growing law firm is seeking a seasoned Litigation Attorney to join its expanding litigation practice with a focus on healthcare-related and employment matters. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys handling sophisticated disputes, and has substantial courtroom, arbitration, and deposition experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters from initial case evaluation through resolution, including healthcare, employment, and complex commercial disputes
- Draft motions, pleadings, discovery responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents
- Conduct and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and support trial preparation activities
- Represent clients during court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings
- Develop litigation strategies and provide practical legal guidance to clients throughout the life of a case
- Handle multiple active matters independently while meeting critical deadlines and maintaining strong attention to detail
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on overlapping legal and regulatory matters
- Assist with workflow improvements and contribute to departmental growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active New Jersey Bar admission required
- New York Bar admission or willingness to obtain admission preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience in complex commercial, healthcare, or employment matters
- Experience taking and defending depositions and participating in trial or arbitration proceedings
- Strong analytical, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a collaborative legal team
