Senior Family & Divorce Attorney

Location: Greenwich, CT
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $225,000 – $300,000 Base + Performance Incentives

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Family & Matrimonial Attorney to join its growing Connecticut practice. This opportunity is ideal for a senior-level attorney with strong experience handling complex domestic relations matters and an existing client base. The position offers significant autonomy, leadership potential, and the ability to collaborate across multiple practice areas within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a wide range of family law matters including divorce, custody disputes, parenting plans, support matters, and post-judgment proceedings
  • Handle sophisticated high-asset divorce cases involving business interests, executive compensation, property division, and support calculations
  • Prepare and negotiate marital agreements including prenuptial, postnuptial, and cohabitation agreements
  • Represent clients in mediation, settlement negotiations, hearings, and litigation proceedings when necessary
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while expanding referral sources and business development opportunities
  • Work closely with related legal departments such as trusts & estates, tax, corporate, and real estate to provide comprehensive client solutions
  • Support firm growth initiatives, mentoring efforts, and collaborative leadership activities

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active admission and good standing with the Connecticut Bar
  • Additional New York Bar admission is a plus
  • Minimum of 7 years of focused matrimonial and family law experience
  • Established portable book of business preferred
  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and client management skills
  • Excellent written communication and courtroom presentation abilities
